A quick look at what I’ve worked on and the skills behind it.
Mentimeter
One accessible visual language for all 12 slide types
Mentimeter’s slide types had not caught up with the codebase and the new visual design language. The palette leaned on traffic-light colours, and the code behind them was due for a refactoring. As the sole product designer, I set the design principles and visual direction for all 12, and worked with engineering as they rebuilt the code foundation.
The hard call was not to start from scratch. Some slide types deserved to be rethought from the ground up, but we couldn’t justify the time, so I chose to redesign and improve what was there. Signal colours gave way to one brand family, tested for colour blindness, with darker shades wherever colour carries text, so all text passes WCAG AA. Text is set larger than before, and visualisations take up more of the canvas, so results stay readable on smaller screens.
All 12 slide types now share the new visual language: one product with a more premium feel and better accessibility. Engineers who used to barely dare touch the chart logic now build on it with ease.

An array of live controls became one toolbar. When testing, the controls it brought forward were used two to ten times as often.

A paid wellbeing experience inside a free pregnancy app
Shaping the first paid product in a free pregnancy app with 600–700k monthly users: an audio meditation programme. As the sole designer, I led every design process end to end, including user research and workshops.
